A. Pendahuluan

Kemajuan teknologi komputer, teknologi informasi dan teknologi komunikasi berkembang sangat pesat. Kemajuan tersebut membawa pengaruh yang luar biasa pada berbagai bidang kehidupan manusia. Tanpa disadari, komputer ternyata telah berperan di masyarakat membantu kelancaran kegiatan manusia di berbagai bidang. Sebagai salah satu penemuan teknologi, komputer sebenarnya tidak berbeda dengan produk teknologi lainnya yang sudah mapan lebih dulu seperti mobil, televisi, radio, kalkulator dan lain-lain. Salah satu aspek yang membedakan komputer dengan produk teknologi tersebut adalah kemampuannya dapat diprogram untuk melaksanakan berbagai tugas secara cepat dan mempunyai ketelitian yang tinggi.

Abstract
The implementation of educational technology concepts in the instruction at least consist of three main variables that should take into account: a) based on student centered b) utilize many kind of learning resources, and c) apply system approach. Open Senior Secondary School (OSSS) and Open Junior Secondary School (OJSS) and other instruction system, the implementation of system approach already has been applied, unfortunately it mostly not yet did in the development of the learning materials. The development of OSSS and OJSS has taken steps included need assessment ,location study, decide location for piloting the implementation, develop the design and operation strategy.

Abstract

On of the main issues in the distance education is limited communication between teacher and student, in the distance education communication mostly use media especially in Indonesia utilize one way media. It include printed module, radio, television and telephone. The latest could be two-way communication. Unfortunately it’s still expensive for student. Therefore limited communication in the distance education still the problem that need to be solve. Instructional by Internet for distance education in Indonesia has not been popular But Internet technology has good prospect to be use because cost of Internet cheaper than the use telephone or other media for instruction.

Abstract
This paper is trying to reduce common illusion among distance educator that there are simple solution to select and using technology in either conventional or distance teaching. In fact, decision making in this area is going more difficult all the time, with proliferation of new technologies (which provide more interactivity between material and learners) and new initiatives in teaching.
The appropriate use and selection of technology depends very much on local environment: contextual all-important. Even between within in a single institution different decision will be required between areas of teaching, dependent on the needs of target group and teaching requirement of a course.
